A little about Second Shift

Established in 2005, Second Shift Design has what it takes to seamlessly integrate two of the most important aspects of design – professionalism and creativity. During the company’s infancy, the majority of the work was carried out on nights and weekends, which led to the idea for the name, Second Shift. Seven months after its inception, the company became incorporated as an LLC and continues to experience steady growth.

Fueled by the desire to provide each individual client with an unmatched commitment to excellence, Dave Smoak founded the company and simply won’t rest until he’s succeeded at making you look your best. The members of our team continue to work nights, weekends, or whatever it takes to get the job done in a timely manner with outstanding results.

Whether you desire to bring some creative change to your company’s current look, or you’re striving to be recognized as the company with the most professional and eye-catching image, we’re ready to help you achieve your goals. Through the design of brochures, websites, merchandise, logos for your company or products, or any branding element, we can take your design status to the next level.

We invite you to get to know us, ask questions, browse our portfolio, and by all means, send your greatest design challenge our way! At the end of the day, you can rest easy knowing that the Second Shift is working for you.

A little about our founder

David Smoak

1923324_11210870692_2382_nDave was born to do something creative. Since childhood, he’s never been seen without a pencil and pad. Dave pursued these interests to the University of Alabama and then to the University of South Carolina. After graduating with a degree in Advertising, Dave traveled to Atlanta, where he honed his skills as a graphic artist at the Portfolio Center. Lately, he’s worked on such accounts as the AGCO Corporation, Dalton State College, Habitat ReStore, Krone, Nichino America, and the Atlanta Braves. When not working, Dave enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, kayaking, watching college football, and spending as much time as he can with his wife and three daughters.
